Defensive mastermind Jim Johnson passed away early this afternoon after a long battle with Cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as well as the Eagles organization.
Being a die-hard Eagles fan, this is truly a sad day for fans and Eagles players alike. He was the first assistant brought on by Andy Reid when Reid arrived.
In his 10 seasons with Philly, he turned what was a pitiful defense into one of the best in the league. His defenses racked up the second most sacks in the league during that time span.
God bless the Johnson family and everyone who was close to him. He was the epitome of success on and off the field.
This should definitely serve as motivation for this Eagles team to bring home that Lombardi trophy for Jim.
