NFL, NFL, AFC East, New England Patriots

Come September, 32 teams will try to win it all, or at least get into the playoffs. So which records are good, which are awful, which are okay and which are great?

Pretending every team has the same difficulty-level schedule, here are the four stages of the level:

1. 0-16 to 5-11, awful

49er fans, Raider fans, Chief fans, and Falcon fans come to mind. “We were better than you this year. We had five wins and you had four,” says 49er fan to Raider fan. “We had a harder schedule,” says Falcon fan to any of the other 4-12 teams. Truth is, they're the same. Your team WAS NOT good, and you didn’t make it to the playoffs.

2. 6-10 to 9-7, okay

Nothing to be proud of. You could do better, but not awful. Maybe a wild card, and unless your division is awful, you don’t win it. Good luck in the playoffs!

3. 10-6 to 12-4, good

Congratulations, You won your Division (unless you're with the Patriots). You probably won’t win the league, but you’ll still play an easy team in the first round.

4. 13-3 to 16-0, great

Well, have fun on your week off, you won the league (then again, you might be with the Patriots)! Have fun playing a wild card on Week 19.Those are my four levels of the NFL. Thanks for the read!

  1. NO WAY. A RAIDERS FAN PUT THE RAIDERS IN THE AWFUL CATEGORY!!!!!

    1. Well Joe, were they not?

    2. I know, I have seen a lot of irrationality though from Raiders fans. Nice to know that there are some fans that aren't irrational. Also, good article.

  2. Good stuff, in the 3rd level you forgot to mention the AFC south, where a 10-6 team finished third and a 12-4 team finished second.

    1. Oh, my bad. Thanks for the correction!

  3. To Joe, I will say that they were bad this year, but thats it!
