Latwan Anderson Trying to Schedule a Michigan Visit

The Cleveland, OH safety has been on our wish list for a long time. Last week, we reported that Michigan appeared to be out of the picture, but a recently interview by revealed that Michigan was below West Virginia, MSU, Georgia and UNC not because of any dislike of the Wolverines, but rather because of a lack of familiarity with the team.

Anderson visited Ann Arbor for a day over the summer to attend the Michigan camp, but he admitted he hadn't spent much time in Ann Arbor. The other schools have been ahead because his comfort level with them was higher.

That may change in the coming weeks, as Anderson has now discussed getting on campus before his season starts. He has established relationships with Michigan commits Austin White, Ricardo Miller and Marvin Robinson.

A visit would be fantastic news for Michigan, who is still in desperate need of a lights-out safety in this year's class. Anderson is exactly the type of player who would thrive under Michigan's "fast players who play fast" m.o.

Anderson was named Defensive MVP at the ESPN Rise Gridiron Kings 7-on-7 tournament at Disney's Wide World of Sports this past weekend, after intercepting SIX passes. "I told the coaches, 'I ain't here for Disney,' " Anderson said after the tournament, his plaque by his side. "I'm out here to show what I can do. That I'm the best."

The kid can just flat out play. And he can flat out fly as well, having clocked in a sub-4.4 40 and continuing to win or place at local track events. We're keeping our fingers crossed on this one.
