Who could Chris Jericho's mystery partner be?

Apparently, no one on the Internet knows.

Heck, I don't think his partner even knows.

Chris Jericho is in a predicament. His partner is injured, and he is about to defend his Unified Tag Team Championships against a formidable advisory in Legacy.

He needs a partner, but who wants to be Chris Jericho's partner? As we all have seen, if you have been watching WWE, Jericho has not been so popular with the boys in the back.

The big question of the day is, "Has Jericho burned too many bridges with his egotistical antics or has he just been toying with us all along"?

This article will breakdown all of the possibilities that are being discussed right now as to who Chris Jericho's mystery partner will be at the Night Of Champions.

With so many discussions going, it is the least that can be done to help weed out all the rumors and even possibly create some new ones. So many names are being thrown around, but no one has given good reason as to why.

Please take this journey with me as we embark on a tedious journey through 10 of the most prominent players in this debacle of a storyline.

If you think I'm wrong or missing someone let me know and tell me why. I won't be offended and I will actually commend those who do because that is what is is all about.

Curiosity might have killed the cat, but in this article curiosity fuels the discussion.

THE Brian Kendrick

You have to admit, he did cross your mind. He is egotistical. He is a former Tag Team Champion. He is THE Brian Kendrick.

With a nearly dwindling career on Raw and a longing to hold Tag Team Gold, THE Brian Kendrick is your best shot at getting the mystery partner right.
He is a two-time Tag Team Champion with one title defense for almost a year.

THE Brian Kendrick is a big deal in this discussion.

Charlie Haas

One half of the former World's Greatest Tag Team,
Charlie Haas has been biding his time on Smackdown, just waiting to strike.

Well, now would be the perfect time.

Shelton Benjamin is now on ECW and the singles scene has not been so good to Mr. Haas, as of late.
The big sell for Jericho would have to be his two-time championship status, as well as his submission and technical background.

Curt Hawkins

I know you think I must be joking, but think about it. Curt Hawkins is the last person anyone would think of as Chris Jericho's mystery partner. This gives such shock when it happens that....BOOM!

Curt Hawkins is a NEW Unified Tag Team Champion.

Not only is he a good lackey, as he's proven from La Familia, but he is also a one-time Tag Team Champion.
Just think about it.

John Morrison

Really?

Yes Really!

It is plausible that John Morrison could be Chris Jericho's mystery partner.

Is it likely? No, but he definitely is someone to consider. The Friday Night Delight might just be the apple of Chris Jericho's eye.

With five tag team Titles, two Intercontinental Titles, and one ECW Championship, John Morrison is by far the most decorated of the bunch, but has Jericho burned this bridge too many times?

The Hart Dynasty

Is it too early to start thinking of them as the next great tag team dynasty? I think not.

The Legacy and the Hart Dynasty have had their share of interaction and Chris Jericho, with his Canadian descent, might be able to coax these young stars into doing his bidding until Jericho can find his time to take the World Heavyweight Gold.

Shelton Benjamin

The other half of The World's Greatest Tag Team might be making a return to Smackdown?

No one would think that the Gold Standard could be gaining some (more) gold at the Night of Champions.

Heck, Shelton Benjamin gives John Morrison a run for his money as the most decorated man in consideration.
He is an amazing Tag Team partner and singles competitor...the only question is "Will Jericho really pick Benjamin?"

Dolph Ziggler

If Smackdown has shown us anything over the last couple of weeks, it's that Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler make a great team.

Can Dolph Ziggler walk away from Night of Champions with three belts around his waist? I think it is a great possibility!

Look for a Jericho interference-driven win over Mysterio and then a successful defense against, the always dangerous, Legacy.

Christian

Could it be so? Can Captain Charisma finally attain some gold around his waist again and escape the wasteland that has become ECW?

It is a possibility, but only if Christian is unsuccessful at winning the ECW Title at Night of Champions.

With the tight-knit relationship they've had in the past, it could be a good fit.

The only question is, "Are they able to overcome their past problems to make it work?"

CM Punk

Wait...WHAT?

Yeah, I said it.

And it is possible.

CM Punk is approaching the end of the long, winding road of Heeldom.

Chris Jericho could also be the Emperor Palpatine to this new Darth Vader.

Hear me out.

CM Punk loves his championship. Well, Jericho can be in his ear telling him he can win more gold.
If Punk gets greedy enough, look for him to join Jericho to create an amazing empire that is ultimately doomed to fail when Jericho goes after Punk's title.

That will indubitably be the most awe-inspiring sight ever to hit the WWE.

Cody Rhodes

Last, but definitely not least.

Legacy could see itself end the way it was created.
Is this at all possible? Probably not, but just think about.

Chris Jericho knows Cody Rhodes wants gold.

Chris Jericho knows there are problems in Legacy.

This is starting to smell like an awesome swerve if I've ever seen one.

This would then open up Ted to be the face he's always dreamed of, but most likely nothing will happen as Cody Rhodes on Smackdown would be worse then Mae Young dry humping Vince McMahon.

Fin

With all this said and done, there is definitely a probability for all of these guys to be Jericho's partner. The final possibility is that Jericho will lose the title and guess who will be the man to cost him it?

That's right...the picture gave it away.

EDGE! He might make an appearance and distract his egotistical ex-partner, starting a rivalry that will not see the ring for some time, but will definitely be entertaining and finally give the Legacy boys the title run they deserve.
