MLB, Milwaukee Brewers, St Louis Cardinals, Game Recap

Thanks for the idea, J.J.  I like the idea of breaking down games, without going too far in-depth.

Who played well?

-Chris Duncan

Getting a hit off of Ben Sheets has been almost impossible this season, so hitting a home run makes it all the better.

-Ryan Ludwick

As a pinch-hitter in the eighth, he struck out.  In the ninth inning, however, his two-RBI hit proved the game-winner.

-Brendan Ryan

No RBI, but 3-4 sure looks nice at the bottom of the lineup. Hitting .316 for the season, I personally favor him over Izturis at short.

Who played poorly?

-Aaron Miles

Going 1-5 with two Ks isn't the best night, but Miles' hit was pretty timely.

-Ron Villone

He's been consistent all season, but giving up a HR to Prince Fielder to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth wasn't what the Cardinals were looking for from the veteran.

Neither good nor bad?

-Albert Pujols

After a 1-4 day at the dish, which is awful by his standards, a 38-game on-base streak is still darn good.
