Steve Stone, television color man for the Chicago White Sox, and analyst for radio station WSCR "The Score" in Chicago, is reporting that the Detroit Tigers are interested in obtaining the services of Cubs outfielder and major disappointment Milton Bradley.

Stone speculates that the Cubs would have to help pay for a portion of his sizable remaining contract, and that they would likely receive little in return.

He then goes on to suggest that the Cubs turn their attention to Washington's Adam Dunn.

Dunn would play right field for the Cubs if obtained.

I'm sure the Cubs would love to unload the mercurial Bradley, who has angered Lou Piniella by his actions on and off the field.

Bradley is hitting just .242 with six homers and 22 RBI.

Meanwhile, Dunn is batting .272, with 24 homers and 65 RBI, while posting a robust .402 OBP for the last-place Nationals.

The Tigers feel that a return to DH-ing would benefit Bradley, and that Jim Leyland, who has handled other troubled players like Sheffield and Bonds, would know how to get the most out of Milton.

The Tigers sorely need offensive help, having lost the most 2-1 games of any team since 1945.

I'm sure there will be more to come as this progresses.
