LB Coach Hopson Likes What He Sees
Michigan's LB corps is the most experienced unit returning on the defensive side of the field. LBs Obi Ezeh and Jonas Mouton return healthy and several others are pushing for playing time. LB Coach Jay Hopson discussed with the Freep his thoughts on the group.

"I'm excited about this bunch, because we've got some guys that have some experience now," Hopson said of the inside linebacker spots he coaches. "Jonas (Mouton) has played now, going into last year he really hadn't. Obi (Ezeh) actually got a ton of experience this past year. I love their personalities, demeanor and the way they go about their business. I'm excited about the two inside guys. J.B. Fitzgerald is a kid who had a really good spring. We'll see how the competition goes through August. He's kind of a swing guy, competing for a starting job but can also play both positions."
