Affliction Trilogy

According to Josh Gross of SI.com, Affliction: Trilogy has been completely canceled.

Affliction has clearly been at the top of the MMA news scene the past few days since the announcement of Josh Barnett’s suspension due to a failed drug test.

Affliction held a media conference call on Wednesday in which Tom Atencio stated the show would definitely go on as planned and that the company was working diligently to find a suitable replacement for Barnett.

According to the report:

Affliction Entertainment vice president began making calls with the news Friday morning to fighters scheduled to appear on the Aug. 1 card, SI.com has learned.

This clearly marks the end of Affliction Entertainment as an MMA promoter.
