The final games of The Premier League beckon, some clubs and players will rejoice, others will look forward to better things ahead and a minority will despair as careers crash into oblivion.

The latest to hit the headlines relates to Inter Milan and it's intention to beg, borrow or steal Steven Gerard from his spirtual home at Anfield.
Liverpool FC denying any approach has been made by the Italians followed almost instantaneously by Gerard vowing he has no intention whatsoever of "jumping ship"
One can completely rule out the first three of Inter Milan's aims, however there is a fourth which has remained hidden, if they cannot beg,borrow or steal, they can most certainly buy and money talks, even to those who proclaim to be deaf.
The questions are : Will Liverpool FC and Mr Gerard be able to resist the temptation ?
Are the smoke signals from Milan real or imaginary ?
