The Celtics go to the King's Castle tonight to see whether they can win their first game on the road this playoffs. But the Cavaliers are in an even bigger need of improving their play, starting with The King himself, LeBron James. These are the keys for each team to play a successful game in Cleveland:
Three keys for the Celtics:
1. The Bench: James Posey, Leon Powe, and Sam Casell need to come off the pine strong, keep the offense flowing, and guard their men better.
2. Ray Allen: Allen failed to convert a field goal until the third quarter of Game 2. He has to score points and get to the rack more often.
3. Rajon Rondo: Rondo went 0-for-6 shooting in Game 2 and has to take resposibilty. As a starting point guard, you need to be more consistent shooting the ball, or else the opponent will easily take advantage.
Three keys for the Cavaliers:
1. LeBron James: A franchise player can't shoot 19 percent in the first two games of the playoffs and expect to win either contest. As the leader of the team, when James doesn't perform to his best abilities the whole team is affected.
2. Turnovers: The Cavs are averaging is 16 turnovers per game—thats way too many! The "Big Three" and the Celtics will easily take advantage of that, and that's why Boston has more points off turnovers than the Cavs do in the series thus far.
3. Shooting: Cleveland's average in points for the two game is 72.5 per game. That's really bad when you have the No. 1 scorer in the league in the fold. James averages 30 ppg—thats 40 percent of their scoring output in the playoffs. Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiak also have to shoot the ball better to provide support, keeping the Celtics' defense honest.
My prediction for this game is a 93-87 Cavs win. LeBron's going to come out strong this game. If he comes out strong, his teammates should be able to, too.
