The Knicks are in dire need for a head coach who can lead their team for years to come and to be successful at that.

They cannot hire someone who will easily get flustered and frustrated.  They cannot hire someone who can’t work with what the Knicks have and can’t adjust to the "unique" style of basketball that the New York Knickerbockers play.

That's why Mike D'Antoni is not the correct choice for this open coaching job. Besides, I don't want to constantly type that annoying apostrophe mark.

Mike D'Antoni runs a fast pace style of basketball that can only break the Knicks. The Knickerbockers have maybe two players in my eyes who can handle that fast paced style of basketball.

Those players are Jamal Crawford and David Lee who are not major assets anyway. Let's go back a few years...everyone was pumped up about the Knicks signing Larry Brown to a huge contract, and what happened?

It was a big flop. It could not have gone worse. For the sake of D'Antoni and for the sake of the Knicks, neither of those parties should let it happen.

A much more suitable choice would be Mark Jackson, a level headed inexperienced coach.  He is willing to deal with the rebuilding process and who can use youth correctly, whereas D'Antoni would try to bend them but really break them.

So please Donnie Walsh, make the right choice.
