I have seen COUNTLESS interviews, two of which are posted below, where Tito Ortiz (along side his plastic mold girlfriend Jenna Jameson) , is ranting and raving about how he is done with the UFC and will no longer be disrespected or taken advantage of by Dana White.
He even goes as far as calling Dana White "arrogant" and "full of himself".
Its hard to deny that Tito is a big draw for the UFC and is a great fighter. He certainly has put his time in, but I think there comes a point where Dana White has to look at this guy and seriously take what he's saying into consideration.
And for Tito to go back on his word about moving on to bigger and better things? Well that totally speaks to his character.
I don't think Dana White NEEDS Tito Ortiz in the UFC to get the PPV's to sell, I think if I owned the UFC and someone trash talked me on even just one interview, I'd make sure he never saw the inside of a UFC Octagon again.
The Following links are a couple of links to the interviews I am talking about.

Well, perhaps that is why, love him or hate him, Dana White should be offered at least some respect for having Tito return - at least for this one fight. He allowed a fight to happen that will bring a great draw of fans to UFC 85 in terms of PPV and tickets. He did so in spite of his personal disdain for Tito. Dana's business sense had to override his own ego and hatred of Ortiz or this fight wouldn't have happened.
On the other hand, one can argue that it may have not been the best long term business choice given the risk of Tito winning the fight, followed by a move out of the UFC.

dude what was your point? are you saying Tito will no show or pull out? if he pulls out he still owes them a fight, or litigation would ensue. If anything, Im hoping tito doesnt show up and just go thru the motions with this fight. I dont want him to come in halfway out the door and let his fans down. Dana and Tito hated each other like 5 years ago, this is not new news. Hell if Tito had beat Chuck and Randy instead of losing to them Dana would be backing off the Tito hate parade no matter what Tito said or did. Dana is not stupid, he doesnt feel the UFC needs Tito so hes not trying to resign him with any real conviction. Tito turned down a six fight deal because he wanted a shorter contract with more compensation. It would be totally insane for the UFC to pull this fight after all the buildup, not to mention the fact that most people including Dana White think Tito will lose this fight anyways. This article has no point whatsoever.

I don't know that Dana really hates Tito that much. Sure, there are the words that we hear out of context that can be taken any way we want them to, but if Dana White really hates Ortiz, he would be released from his contract. In the end it is good publicity to have feuds. If nothing else, it keeps us talking about them.

Tito is really fucked in his upcoming bout against Machida, esp if he sticks to his word! He's talking about how he's not going to try to put Machida away as quickly as he can, and saying that he's going to try to keep it going so he can really put abeating on him.....what a dipshit! The worst thing you can do against someone like Machida is not take any opportunity that comes your way!
Machida would pick him apart anyway, but if Tito ever sees' any opening he better capitolize fully or this could be really embarassing for him!!!!
I cant wait to see Tito get his ass beat!!!!

as the self proclaimed leader of tito's fan club, let me be the first to let you know Nick that Tito couldnt give a rats ass whether or not he wins this fight. Everything ive read, seen, or heard about Tito recently has been about how much he wants to leave the UFC. Tito knows he is in a no win situation, if he wins, they wont show his interview on ppv, they will do the quick cut away, and if he loses, dana will have a field day whenever he mentions tito again for the rest of eternity. Plus nobody is paying attention to the fact that Tito already beat the supposed #1 contender forest griffin, and is very close friend to Rampage and the two have stated publicly that they would never fight unless they made record amounts of money. So what choice was he left with anyways? be a stepping stone for up and coming fighters? trust me the ufc needs guys like tito. how many skilled fighters are in the UFC that nobody cares about because they have no personality? love him or hate him everybody has a reaction to tito, and thats what sells tickets, and more importantly helps our great sport of mma grow.
