Chelsea defeat Inter. Ancelotti Defeats Jose Mourinho. The Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, saw another game of exciting football - this football was played by kicking the ball and the leader of each team was called the captain and not Quarterback. So, when Captain John Terry and the Solid Ricardo Carvahlio showed up to play against Inter Milan, they formed a solid pair that helped Chelsea keep a clean sheet. Infact the first lapse came when Ricardo Carvahlio was subbed by Alex who let the ball slip to Mario Ballotelli.

Chelsea carried its winning form from the game against the Seattle Sounders and played some real slick football. Chelsea totally dominated the first half and led the score line by two. The first goal came in the 11th minute courtesy of none other than Mourinho's favourite striker Didier Drogba. A smooth pass from Frank Lampard found Drogba who smashed the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal.

The second goal came when Ivan Cordoba was adjudged to have "hand"-led the ball. Frank Lampard guided the ball into the bottom right and the score line read 2-0.  Inter did try hard and played well, but sadly they lacked the final finish. Chelsea saw many substitutions with youngsters, Di Santo, Michael Mancienne, and San Hutchinson all getting a chance to play along with the newly acquired youngster Daniel Sturridge.

Mario Ballotelli was amazing, and should Inter lose Zlatan Ibrahimovic, expect to see more of the brilliant Ballotelli. Another vital point to note is how right Mourinho was in asking Inter to get Deco and Carvahlio. They both had an amazing game for Chelsea and if Inter are to challenge the big teams in Champions League then it will do well for Mr. Moratti to listen to Jose Mourinho and buy Deco and Carvahlio.
