One And Done: Is It a Problem??

Chris DavisContributor IOctober 1, 2016

There has been a lot of talk in NCAA Mens' basketball about the " one and done" controversy. I personally think that it is fine but the NCAA doesn't care what I think.

There have been many players that have left college after their first year especially in the 2008 NBA draft, where the top 3 picks were freshmen. (Derrick Rose, Michael Beasley, O.J Mayo). They all had great years especially Rookie of the Year Derrick Rose, who was crucial in the Bull's playoff berth.

Now the only problem i see with it is there are going to be players who might've been better if they would've stayed for an extra year or 2, but instead they were a benchwarmer.

Now the reason people are talking about this is because coaches complain about players leaving even though some have a good year the next year too! I think they should drop it.

Where can I comment?
