The trade deadline is approaching and hopefully the Pirates will be approaching this differently. Our GM must not really want to win or is to patient for guys who can't pitch in single A, to fall flat in double A.

If our GM makes a trade for "talented" minor leaguers all I have to say is that he is definitely taking advantage of us Pirate fans sticking in there. A trade involving Freddy or Jack doesn't help the fan base or the organization, which doesn't seem to have a middle infielder that could handle an every day job.

If we are 8.5 games out of first lets make a trade where we get the upper half of the deal. I am not saying we are contenders but lets run for .500 and not be such a joke to other baseball fans.

We don't have a good GM, so he's probably trading for draft picks (HA HA!). We have some good picks. Pedro Alvarez who is in single A has great power as he was a first rounder in 2008. Tony Sanchez, also a good power hitter was our first rounder this year. I still have hope!
