History

This is a list of the top ten quarterbacks of the Superbowl era broken down into specific typology. The following types of quarterbacks included are game managers, scramblers, clutch performers, pure passers, and gunslingers; for added fun I’ve included the top ten bums & busts.  

 

Game Managers: play calling, adjustment, clock usage, smarts

Scramblers: best combination of running and passing

Clutch: comebacks, 4th quarter wins, playoff play

Pure Passers: touch, completion percentage, touchdown / interception ratio, & QB Rating

Gunslingers: deep ball, arm strength, mentality, yards

  1. Good article, I like how you created different categories by which to classify the quarterbacks. I would be interested to see how you would rank the top 10 greatest overall quarterbacks.

    1. thats tough.....I have a bias toward a few obviously (for instance id take young over montana but i can't say he is better based on their careers and accomplishments) but if I had to objectively do it the best i can id say..........
