Cleveland Indians: Cliff Lee Undefeated Thus Far

Zach MartinCorrespondent IMay 8, 2008

Cliff Lee (6-0 .81 ERA) of the Cleveland Indians has regained the form that saw him win 18 games just two years ago.

He has dominated every game he has pitched in. Most recent was the May 7 game against the New York Yankees. Lee pitched seven dominant innings, giving up five hits, and recording seven strikeouts.

Last year he was horrible and was sent to the minors, but during spring training he fixed the problem that he had last year and has refound his form. This is even more impressive because of the bad outtings recently from C.C. Sabathia, the ace of the Indians.

Lee has shown that he still has his fastball, curve, and slider. He is undefeated thus far and does not look to be slowing down.

I know it is early but he has looked strong. If he keeps this up he can be a 20-game winner, Earned Run Average leader, strike out leader, and Cy Young winner.

Lee has got Clevelanders talking about something in Cleveland besides the Cavs, who are in the playoffs.

Way to go, Cliff. Keep it up.
