The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed restricted free agent Jamario Moon to an undisclosed two-year contract. The signing gives the Cavs another high flyer for alley oops, which LeBron enjoys doing.

He will most likely be a back up for LeBron or play small forward while James is at power forward. In addition, it's likely that he'll get 20-25 minutes per game and average 5-10 points off the bench, which the Cavs have been solidifying in the past few weeks.

Miami can still match the contract, but they are trying to save cap space and still need to resign Joel Anthony, Jamal Magloire, and Luther Head if they like. Also, let's not forget the Heat are chasing Lamar Odom and Carlos Boozer, which cuts into their cap space.

This came as a surprise for Ferry. Once the Cavs signed Parker, they would chase a power forward, such as Matt Barnes.

Update One:

  • Deal is two years around two million a year.
  • The Cavs have used some of the MLE so they still hold their BAE and around 1.2 of their MLE.
