Valentino does it again as he takes the German Grand Prix, just micro seconds ahead of team mate Jorge Lorenzo.

Having shot off from pole position, into the lead, he was caught and passed by an ambitious Casey Stoner just six laps into the race.

Stoner holds the lead for the next 10 laps when a stunning first bend sees Rossi take Stoner and Lorenzo takes Pedrossa into third.

Lorenzo is looking hot and three laps later takes Stoner and starts to hunt Rossi down, finally getting passed with 10 laps to go.

Although in front, Lorenzo cannot shake Rossi off his back wheel and in shades of the old Rossi, Gibernau contests, The Doctor holds position and waits.

With just two laps to go, Rossi pounces and takes the lead again. Lorenzo is all over the back of Rossi, even trying a risky manoeuvre around the outside as they go into turn one on the last lap.

They are scrabbling at the last bend but Rossi gets it by a sliver.

Pedrosa takes a well deserved 3rd and Casey is a distant fourth when his tyres go off.

Lorenzo must be wondering just what can he do to beat his team mate.
