The last few years have not been good for sports in terms of good role models but now that has changed, look no further than former Florida State safety Myron Rolle.

For those that don't know his story, he used to be a safety at Florida State who opted to take the Rhodes Scholarship that he was offered for his intelligence and to further his studies in the medical field at Oxford University in England.

Currently Myron Rolle has set into motion a plan to create the a free medical clinic and sports complex in the Bahamas, he plans to fund the project through the fund-raising efforts of his foundation, aptly named the Myron L. Rolle foundation.

This story is all the more intriging considering the fact that he has put his NFL career on hold so he can pursue this opportunity which, I find to be amazing to have that kind of mindset at such a young age (only 22 years old), so for all the young people who look up to rappers or other athletes a role models take a look a Myron Rolle.. He could be the Roberto Clemente of our generation.
