I'm Just Saying: Let's Make a Deal

Well the All Star game has come and gone. The Mets have lost their first game of the second half.

Surprisingly Oliver Perez threw well and even slightly outdueled Derek Lowe, but it wasnt enough and the Mets fell short of victory.

Earlier in the day Omar Minaya had said that he has been speaking to about six teams about possible trades. Hopefully he is serious about acquiring a solid bat.

Personally I have a favorite person I want the Mets to acquire, and his name is Mark Teahen. I know that Teahen is not the highest calibur player available, but we can get him for relatively cheap and I think he would be a good fit for the Mets.

He is also only making three and a half million dollars which I see as a steal for someone who bats .294 with some pop and versatility.

We can use Teahen at first base, left field, second or we can sacrifice some defense and try him at shortstop because lets be honest our weakest offensive player is Cora.

Our Lineup could be Pagan,Castillo,Wright,Sheffield,Teahen,Francoeur,Murphy and Schneider/Santos.

Honestly the important thing is that Omar actually does something instead of pretending we'll be fine because the window of opportunity is closing and its closing fast.

Where can I comment?
