Ronaldinho's talents have been on showcase for some of the biggest clubs on the planet.

Barcelona. AC Milan. Paris Saint-Germain. Next up...Basingstoke Town?

Of course, a club in the sixth tier of English football is a sensical landing spot for the 34-year-old free agent who's won the World Cup, the Champions League, etc.

If nothing else, Basingstoke Town's audacious offer for the Brazilian legend has people talking about the Conference South outfit.

The Basingstoke marketing director, Simon Hood, put on his best PR optimism smile when asked about the offer by BBC South

We've put an offer to his brother, who is his agent, and look forward to hearing back from him.

We took a look at the transfer list to see which players were available.

We were shocked to see that Ronaldinho was a free agent and thought what better way for him to get back into football than to play for Basingstoke Town.

We are third in the table and it would be great for not only Basingstoke but non-league football.

And just in case you've forgotten what Ronaldinho is capable of, this is the man who could be in the sixth tier of English football...
