The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has been ubiquitous over the last couple of weeks on social media, so it is pretty hard to find something original.

BBC football commentary legend Barry Davies managed just that, though, when he was doused this week.

The 76-year-old, who made a one-off appearance on Match of the Day last month, managed to recite—and paraphrase—some of his famous lines during his dousing.

Davies made a knowing nod to his commentary of a Francis Lee goal for Derby County v. Manchester City in 1974.
