Brandon McManus will take over kicking duties for the Denver Broncos for at least the first month of the season due to the four-game suspension of Broncos kicker Matt Prater. McManus will have plenty of extra-point and field-goal opportunities early on with the high-powered Broncos offense. McManus has elite leg strength and was a first-team All Big East punter and second-team All Big East placekicker with Temple in 2012. McManus displayed that immense power, going five for five on kickoff touchbacks in a preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, but missed two field goals of 50+ and there are concerns with his accuracy on long attempts. He should have plenty of opportunity to test out that leg in what is expected to be a high-scoring affair with the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
