Transfer deadline day. You either love it or you hate it.

It's the day infamous for children truanting from school and gathering around reporters at club training grounds across the country.

For Liverpool, transfer deadline day will probably never be as dramatic as 31 January 2011, when Fernando Torres was sold to Chelsea for £50 million and Andy Carroll was signed from Newcastle for £35 million.

Luckily, business has been done early this year, with nine transfers coming in so far in Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Emre Can, Dejan Lovren, Divock Origi, Lazar Markovic, Javier Manquillo, Alberto Moreno and Mario Balotelli.

Have Liverpool finished their signings for the summer? Who will leave Anfield before the end of the day? Keep your eye on our transfer tracker throughout the day.

Oussama Assaidi was expected to end his Anfield nightmare by signing permanently for Stoke City, according to The Sentinelwhere he spent last season on loan.

However, injury has hampered the Moroccan international and stopped him completing the deal.

But at the eleventh hour on transfer deadline day Liverpool's official website confirmed Assaidi will return to Stoke on loan for the remainder of the season.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty confirmed on Monday afternoon that Liverpool have agreed a deal to sell Fabio Borini to Queens Park Rangers.

QPR's offer for Fabio Borini - which has been accepted by Liverpool - could amount to around £13m with add ons.

A £14 million fee to sell Borini to Sunderland was agreed back in July, as per BBC Sport, but the forward's reluctance to leave Liverpool permanently has prevented a deal going through.

A similar story happened on transfer deadline day with Borini reportedly turning down the opportunity to join QPR to remain Liverpool's fourth choice striker, as per James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo.

Sebastian Coates

Uruguayan defender Sebastian Coates has completed his season-long loan move to Sunderland, the official Sunderland AFC website confirmed on Monday night.

Coates has made just 24 appearances since signing for the Reds in August 2011, and following the signings of Lovren and Mamadou Sakho in the last year, his chances of first-team football at Anfield were further limited.

Victor Valdes

Liverpool could make a deadline-day swoop for former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, according to radio station talkSPORT.

However, The Times' Tony Barrett says the Reds are in no rush. Valdes' status as a free agent doesn't restrict his transfer to Monday night's deadline.

Liverpool have lined up a move for Victor Valdes but are prepared to wait until the autumn in order for the free agent to prove his fitness.

Lucas Leiva's future at Liverpool has been up in the air for some time now, with the player having struggled to adapt to the pace of Brendan Rodgers' rapidly progressing team.

Alex Richards of the Daily Mirror linked the Brazilian with a move to Italian side Napoli last week, although it would only have been a loan deal.

Lucas will remain at Liverpool in 2014-15.
