MLB, AL East, New York Yankees, Roger Clemens, George Steinbrenner, Satire

This week last year (May 6 2007 to be exact) Roger Clemens announced during the 7th inning stretch that he would be returning to the Yankees for the second half of the 2007 season. He was viewed as a savior and fans believed that he would turn their season around.

What fans didn't know is how huge of an event this was in CBS 880 NY Yankees Color Commentator Suzyn Waldman's life.

Nothing was better then seeing Roger Clemens in George Steinbrenners box. (pun intended)

Seeing 4 world series championships, David Cone's perfect game, Aaron Boones walk off home run in game 7 of the 2003 ALCS, just to name a few classic moments, could not match up to this moment.

Here is the infamous call of this announcement on CBS 880 in New York by Suzyn Waldman.
