Fernando Torres' disappointing Chelsea career came to close on Friday, as the club confirmed a two-year loan deal to send the Spaniard to AC Milan.

Torres was a hit at Atletico Madrid and Liverpool but struggled mightily after his £50 million move to Chelsea.

His time was marred by awful misses and goals were typically few and far between. With Diego Costa now at the club, Torres was finally excess baggage, and Jose Mourinho sent him to Italy.

As such, Chelsea fans were typically in a celebratory mood in the aftermath.
