The Denver Broncos finished the preseason on Thursday night with a 27-3 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Denver improves to 3-1 in preseason action, outscoring their opponents 99-37 in the process.

Having one of the deepest rosters in the NFL, the organization now has the difficult task of trimming their roster to 53 players. Other teams around the league may have a keen interest in who the Broncos cut loose.

The practice squad will be key this year as well, as the Broncos have several young players with practice squad eligibility who they would like to keep around.

Several players on the roster bubble had big games on Thursday.

Kapri Bibbs scored two touchdowns, giving him three for the preseason. Still, Juwan Thompson seems to be the more NFL-ready running back and will likely be kept instead.

Tony Carter and Mitch Unrein also made some key defensive plays in the game.

If there was a down side, it was new kicker Brandon McManus, who the Broncos just obtained in a trade with the New York Giants earlier in the week.

McManus missed two of the four field goals he attempted on the night and while those two misses were both from over 50 yards, he missed badly.

It wouldn't be surprising to see the Broncos work out other kickers this week as they prepare for the season opener against Indianapolis, in which they won't have Matt Prater, who will begin a four-game suspension for violation of the league's substance abuse policy.
