Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Atlanta Falcons: Live Score and Analysis

Bo Martin@BoKnowsBCBContributor IAugust 28, 2014

The matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons has concluded with the Falcons defeating the Jaguars 24-14.

The Jaguars were led again by quarterback Blake Bortles who finished four of six for 86 yards and a touchdown. Bortles again looked poised and confident in the pocket despite being under duress a few times. It's going to be hard for the Jaguars' coaching staff to stick to their plan of sitting their rookie signal caller.

On defense, the Jaguars were haunted by the same mistakes of the past three weeks. The second and third teams were inconsistent. On offense, the quarterback play was unimpressive and the running game again proved to virtually nonexistent. On defense players were constantly missing easy tackles and playing timid.

Despite the regular season a week away, there's a still a lot to do with this team.
