Cardinals Fan Blocks Flying Bat Headed Straight for Unsuspecting Neighbor

A St. Louis Cardinals fan prevented a potentially serious injury to the person sitting next to her when she deflected A.J. Pierzynski's bat as it flew into in the stands.

The bat was headed straight for a fan who had no idea it was even coming. Luckily, he had a more alert neighbor, who got her arms up in time to block it.

The bat ended up hitting him on the head, but this would likely have hurt considerably more had she not made the heads-up play.
