Angel Di Maria's 10 Best Goals
Some have questioned the steepness of that price, but the Argentinean is undoubtedly a world-class winger and midfielder, capable of some incredible skill.
To whet the appetites of the Old Trafford faithful, here are 10 of his best goals to date...
Germany vs. Argentina, 2012
Di Maria has scored 10 times for the Argentina national team, with his most beautiful strike coming against Germany in Frankfurt in 2012.
His first-time hit from around 35 yards was completely unstoppable.
Real Madrid vs. Penarol, 2010
Di Maria arrived at Madrid from Benfica in June 2010 and made his mark during the 2010-11 preseason.
In a Santiago Bernabeu Trophy match against Uruguayan side Penarol—his first game in front of the home fans—he produced a moment of magic to open the scoring, paving the way for an eventual 2-0 win.
Real Madrid vs. Racing Santander, 2012
Di Maria put Madrid 3-0 up at the Casa Blanca during their 2012 Liga tie with Racing Santander with a wonderful left-foot curling drive. The Racing keeper got his hands on it but couldn't contain it.
Hopefully the Premier League can look forward to a few of these.
Atletico Madrid vs. Real Madrid, 2013
Di Maria certainly isn't scared of hitting a shot with his first touch.
In a Madrid derby in April 2013, the Argentinean connected with a Karim Benzema through ball which he instinctively poked beyond the reach of Thibaut Courtois.
Valencia vs. Real Madrid, 2013
During Real Madrid's visit to the Mestalla in December 2013, the 26-year-old put Los Blancos ahead via a sublime left-footed strike.
Argentina vs. Ecuador, 2012
After some solid build-up play from his compatriot Lionel Messi, Di Maria was able to strike a beautiful first-time volley during a 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.
Real Betis vs. Real Madrid, 2014
The Argentinean forward put the icing on the cake during Madrid's 4-0 win at Real Betis last season by picking up a clearance from a corner and converting a low 35-yard drive.
Once again, ADM showed that he can hit the ball first time with power and accuracy.
Real Madrid vs. Tottenham, 2011
Los Blancos met Tottenham in the 2010-11 Champions League quarter-finals and were 2-0 up in the first leg when Di Maria cut inside the right-hand side of the box, skipped past Benny Assou-Ekotto and fired an incredible goal past Heurelho Gomes.
Madrid eventually won 4-0 and secured a 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane in the second leg.
Real Madrid vs. Malaga, 2013
During a Liga match with Malaga in May 2013, Di Maria placed a shot perfectly in the bottom-left corner from the edge of the box. They don't come much more precise than that.
Madrid went on to win the game 6-2.
