NBA 2K is bringing out the big guns. With a little over a month before release, 2K Sports is opening up access to its latest hoops creation.

The trailer above not only shows off some awesome footage for the upcoming NBA 2K15 video game, it also shows Inside the NBA on TNT co-hosts Shaquille O'Neal and Ernie Johnson briefly delivering their take on the virtual action.

The trailer above is officially known as "Yakkem." You'll find out why as you watch and listen to Shaq deliver his "isms."

If you weren't aware, the song playing in the background is "Suck My Kiss" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It's part of the soundtrack for the game, which Grammy-winner Pharrell Williams curated.

It appears as though a game that has always prided itself on presentation is getting a major shot in the arm.

It's unclear what capacity Shaq and Ernie will be used in the game, but it seems fair to speculate that the two may be part of a new-and-improved halftime show.

We're crossing our fingers for a pregame and postgame show, too. While we're wishing, a weekly wrap-up show would be awesome as well.

The actual gameplay in the video shows off several of the over 5,000 new animations and some of the NBA's relocated superstars in their new digs. That includes the first virtual glimpse of LeBron James rocking the No. 23 Cleveland Cavaliers jersey and Pau Gasol with the Chicago Bulls.

Derrick Rose is on display and a much-improved render of Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul is another highlight.

There's plenty to pick out in a trailer like this. These videos are designed to give fans a sneak peek at the game, whetting your appetite for the full retail release.

Mission accomplished.

NBA 2K15 releases for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on Oct. 7.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
