Reggie Bush wasn't on the field very long in the Detroit Lions' Week 3 preseason contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but that didn't stop him from making a huge impact.
In the first quarter, Bush's second carry of the game went for 86 yards and a touchdown. His shiftiness, vision and speed were well on display during the run, and Josh Katzenstein of the Detroit News summed it up perfectly:
Bush tallied 95 yards on his two carries for the night; however, Marc Sessler of NFL.com noted another scamper called back by penalty that could have added to the running back's totals:
It certainly appears Bush is in top form as we inch closer to the regular season. Many fantasy owners are concerned about Bush losing more carries to Joique Bell this season, but Bell is coming back from an injured knee and hasn't exactly impressed so far this preseason.
According to FantasyFootballCalculator.com, Bush is the 16th running back being selected in 12-team standard-scoring leagues with an average draft position of 3.10. That currently puts him in the realm of a high-end No. 2 option.
While Bush's performance on Friday night may not send him surging up draft boards, he's certainly solidified himself as a fine option this season. Draft him with confidence.
