Liverpool are in talks with AC Milan over a potential transfer move for Mario Balotelli, reports Ben Smith of BBC Sport.

The Italy international has scored 30 goals in 54 appearances for the Serie A club after his £19 million move from Manchester City in January 2013.

However, the 24-year-old was also a controversial character during his time in the Premier League, as Simon Rice of The Independent noted.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is looking for a striker to replace the loss of Luis Suarez to Barcelona this summer.

But is Balotelli the right move for the Anfield club?
