Three weeks, three big races, three cities the western swing started on Sunday with the NHRA Mopar Mile High Nhra Nationals at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colorado. Ron Capps took his fifth win of 2009 as he beat Ashley Force in the final and made it a tie in the points standings. Antron Brown beat Doug Kalitta in the top fuel final. Alan Johnson won in pro stock over Jason Line that was great for him because he won there in 2007 and its his sponsors race. Finally Eddie Krawiec won pro stock motorcycle after his teammate Andrew Hines went red in the final round.

Round 2 of the western swing goes to Seattle next weekend can any of these four make it 2 in a row and hopefully sweep the western swing at Sonoma only time will tell. Ron Capps tied Ashley Force for first in points sunday in denver. Antron Brown leads top fuel points with his win sunday extending his lead over Larry Dixon. Jeg Couglin and Eddie Krawiec retain the points lead in pro stock and pro stock motorcycle.

Sunday's finals were great we seen the first six second pass friday night in Denver with Greg Anderson, with the race being on the mountain the oxygen is low and its hard to get these cars to hook up and go, but they were able to produce a great event and cant wait for the second round next week in Seattle.
