Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski have clinched a spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, assuming they attempt to qualify for the remaining seven races in the regular season, NASCAR Wire Service reports.
With Earnhardt's two victories and locking into the Top 30 in points, he is guaranteed a Chase spot when September rolls around. This fact may cause the Hendrick Motorsports star to race a bit more conservatively from here on out with the pressure now off. However, that remains to be seen, and we'll know more once we observe the No. 88 team in action at Indianapolis in two weeks.
