A Better Question: What Can't Boise State's Austin Pettis Do?

For a player to achieve superstar status, he must have something that no other wide receiver has. Pettis has something that most receivers dream of having.

Pettis has decent speed and route running ability, but it's his leaping catches that make keep you saying his name. Pettis doesn't get the credit he deserves.

He's been stuck in a system behind star Jeremy Childs and Vinny Perretta. It's now time for Austin to shine. Last year he only had 49 catches for 547 yards and 9 touchdowns.

Now that he's the "go-to" guy for Boise State, I expect double those numbers. Players like this go unnoticed through their college years and eventually make their way to an NFL team. They do damn well there too.

Austin Pettis will soon be Boise State's very own Jerry Rice. Before you criticize what I just said, watch him, study him; you'll see what I mean.

With the duo of Austin Pettis and Titus Young, our receiving corp will be studly. Let's hope the best for the Boise State Broncos; they will need it for their home-opener against the Oregon Ducks.

Let's go Boise State!
