The Auburn Tigers football team received its ninth commitment for the 2010 football recruiting class on Saturday, as Fullerton, California DE Joel Bonomolo committed to head coach Gene Chizik and the Tigers.
Bonomolo is a talented defensive end prospect currently attending Fullerton Community College in California. He chose Auburn on Saturday over offers from Arizona State, Iowa State, and Utah, among others. He reportedly received interest from LSU as well but decided not to wait for a potential offer from the Tigers.
Listed at 6'3", 245 lbs., Bonomolo reportedly runs the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds. He is an athletic defensive end off the edge and does a good job of making tackles on running backs trying to get to the corner.
With his commitment, the Auburn Tigers football team now has nine prospects committed for the 2010 recruiting class.
