Arturo Gatti was a fighter who gave his all every time he stepped into the ring. That might be the reason he was one of the most loved boxers in the world.

However, it seems that someone he loved, a person who was supposed to love him, is the same person who killed him. Authorities have taken Arturo Gatti's wife, Amanda Rodrigues, into custody.

Police say that there were inconsistencies in her statement and that she stayed in the apartment for ten hours with their son after Gatti had been killed. She said she didnt notice him.

The cause of death seems to be strangulation even though he was found to have a head injury. Police have found a bloodstained purse strap that is believed to be the murder weapon.

Police are currently preparing to formally accuse 23-year-old Rodrigues.
