Daniel Sturridge Gives Liverpool the Lead vs. Southampton with Late Goal

Liverpool were feeling the pressure from Southampton late on in their Premier League opener on Sunday, but Daniel Sturridge provided a massive boost for the hosts with this goal to reclaim the lead in the 79th minute.

While there's nothing too complicated about the goal itself, it does raise questions about why on earth Southampton allowed Raheem Sterling to win a header in the box with so little pressure.

Liverpool went on to win 2-1.
