One-time embattled Manchester United boss David Moyes gave a lengthy exclusive interview with the Daily Mail and revealed his charitable side in the process.

When a potential fee was discussed for giving the interview, Moyes instead asked that any potential fee (a figure was not disclosed) be donated to Darren Fletcher's charity, which supports fighting gut and liver disease.

Per the Mail

When he agreed to this interview, he asked only that any fee this newspaper might wish to pay—he does not specify a figure—be donated to Darren Fletcher's "United For Colitis" charity.

"When a plane flew over Old Trafford that day towing that banner [it said 'Moyes Out'] I turned to someone next to me and said they would have been better giving that money to Darren's charity," he says.
