However, things were almost all positive for the Colts' starters that were able to give them such an early lead. Andrew Luck seemed right at home in the offense, going 12-for-18 with 89 yards and a touchdown despite not having Reggie Wayne or T.Y. Hilton.
More importantly, the defense showed up in a big way early on, completely shutting down Eli Manning and the rest of the Giants. At halftime, the Giants had put up just 48 total yards and seven passing yards, with players like Bjoern Werner and D'Qwell Jackson making big impacts.
Unfortunately for the Colts, Ryan Nassib was able to lead a few late drives to give the Giants the win, going 11-for-15 with 158 yards and a touchdown.
The Colts will now be looking to shake off the disappointing loss and get ready for next week's game against the New Orleans Saints.
