Eight baby boys in England and Wales were named Neymar in 2013, and there were a further 13 Cristianos, according to data from the Office of National Statistics released on Friday.

The football-influenced names did not stop there. Six Zicos were born last year, as well as three Beckhams and 16 Zidanes.

You might think those names are fun and original—or you might not—but it may just be the tip of the iceberg.

Given that this was a World Cup year, the names will have enjoyed even more exposure. You could expect to see even more Neymars running around the streets of London in years to come.
