Cup Match in Peru Interrupted by Herd of Cows Running Through the Field

Mark Patterson@@MarkPattersonBRUK Staff WriterAugust 14, 2014

The Peruvian Cup has a regional stage some way before the sharp end of the competition.

Matches there are played on fields rather than inside stadiums, with players running through high grass, and—on this occasion—a herd of cows running across the pitch.

It doesn't look like the players or the referee were unduly disturbed by the invasion, simply waiting a couple of minutes for the animals to move on before resuming with a drop-ball.
