DOVER, DE - MAY 29: Juan Pablo Montoya (R), driver of the #42 Target Chevrolet, talks with team owner Chip Ganassi on the grid during qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Autism Speaks 400 at Dover International Speedway on May 29, 2009 in Dover, Delaware. Quote from an article in SceneDaily :

"Good for him, you know what I mean?" Montoya, speaking on Thursday at Chicagoland Speedway, said with a twinge of sarcasm. "If he wanted to go and he thinks he has more stability at Waltrip’s good for him. It doesn’t really … you know what I mean. Ourselves as a team, we’ve got to look for the good things or the bad things. If he decided to go – I think he said he had too many questions [about EGR] – tough luck. Hopefully, he runs better there." end quote.

Well that doesn’t sound like they were good buddies or at least good teammates, is obvious Montoya is not too happy with all the distractions.

Great move for Martin Truex jr if he wasn’t happy.

One thing I just don’t understand, why is Juan Pablo Montoya running well, in the chase and Truex jr, is not.

Martin Truex jr. was virtually born in a stock car, been running in them all his life, as you well know Montoya is only in his third year.

The equipment should be the same , Childress engines and a common chassis, they both should be sharing good data .

I believe, correct me if I’m wrong , Truex jr’s team have been together longer (crew chief etc.)

I just don’t understand why this guy is not at least top 20 every week, he has proved in the Nationwide series that he is a good driver.

Again, it is a great move if he's not happy, but lets be honest, look at all the Childress power cars and look at the MWR cars in the standings.

It’s a no brainier , Childress stuff is a lot better, so I don’t really understand, how this is a better move, I would guess the money was very good.

One of the things you got to like about Juan Pablo Montoya is his loyalty to Chip Ganassi. He could be racing where ever he wants, Toro-Rosso allegedly drop a boat full of money on his lap, and he said no.

It does work both ways with Chip and Juan.

Chip knows, that every time he gets involved with Montoya, something big always happens, like Championships, Indy 500 win and multiple Daytona 24 wins etc, etc.

Here is a quote from Montoya I find impressive:

"Ourselves as a team, we have got to look for the good things and the bad things. I think he has too many questions [about EGR] and tough luck. Hopefully he runs better there than he is here. For us right now, my focus is not who is going to be my teammate or whatever. My focus is making the Chase and making sure this team runs good."

Since Montoya talks like I write, let me give you a clarification,( I am a Hispanic in case some of you don't know) here is what I think he said:

I'm looking for the positives on this team and the negative, he (Truex jr.) has too many questions about EGR, I hope he does well at MWR, but now we most focus on the chase and there is no time to worry about who is going to be my next teammate.

Disclaime: The above statement is not Montoya's quote, this is my interpretacion of his quote.

Well said.

I hope Truex Jr. packs his bag and goes to his new team or fishing, don’t care where, at this point, I don’t think he can help them.

How about seating an experience driver on that ride, one who can give good info on what’s going on with the race car.

There are plenty of drivers without a ride, many would be in haven, if they got a chance to drive for EGR, Agree?

One thing for sure ,Chip Ganassi and Montoya will be racing in NASCAR next year, even if it is sponsor by the comeback of the Chevy Vega wagon or even the Ford Pinto.
