Cincinnati Bengals fourth-string quarterback Matt Scott spilled his guts on the field before throwing a touchdown pass during Thursday's preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Scott's 12-yard touchdown to Conner Vernon late in the fourth quarter wasn't enough to give the Bengals the win, as they fell to the Chiefs 41-39.
Scott, 23, who is one of four quarterbacks on the roster—along with starter Andy Dalton, rookie AJ McCarron and veteran Jason Campbell—went 7-of-11 for 66 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He added 68 yards rushing as well.
Scott went undrafted in 2013 out of Arizona and was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad that year. After Jacksonville cut him, the Bengals claimed him off waivers on May 16, 2014.
