James Rodriguez Receives His 2014 World Cup Golden Boot Trophy

Mark PattersonUK Staff WriterAugust 8, 2014

James Rodriguez has finally picked up his Golden Boot award after he was confirmed as the top scorer at the 2014 World Cup.

James scored six goals in five games during the tournament, but Colombia's exit at the quarter-final stage meant he was long gone by the time the other awards were handed out on the night of the final in Rio de Janeiro:

But the Colombian has now been presented with the trophy, marked by sponsors Adidas and his new club Real Madrid, whom he joined after the tournament:

6 goals in the @FIFAWorldCup. A dream come true. Thank-you for all your support! #allin
