The Big 12 looks very average this year. Oklahoma is spectacular, and Texas and Nebraska certainly are solid (though not elite). Then you have a few teams that are always dangerous but always inconsistent in Missouri, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.

The rest of the conference is either unproven or downright awful. I heard all the hype about OK State coming into the season and watched almost the entire game the yplayed vs. Troy. I have never seen a team that cared less about playing football than that Cowboy team was Friday night, and have no idea why they were so regarded.

They have a big but clumsy offensive line, some tough running backs, and a very good receiver. Their defense is slow, their QB got benched, and the team has no heart. What a disappointment.

Remember when Kansas State and Colorado were quality programs? The depth in this conference has been terrible for the last 5 years.
