David Luiz Unveiled by PSG, Described as 'Best Defender in World,' Wears No. 32

David Luiz was formally unveiled at Paris Saint-Germain after completing his £50 million transfer earlier in the summer, and at Thursday's press conference, it was confirmed that he will wear the No. 32 shirt.

The number was last worn by David Beckham, who had a short spell with the club at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the PSG president, also made the bold call that Luiz was currently the best defender in the world:

Luiz spoke to the media during the conference, talking of his partnership with Brazil team-mate Thiago Silva (which is expected to become the PSG first-choice pairing), the 2014 World Cup and more:

In addition, Al-Khelaifi appeared to rule out a move for Angel Di Maria during the course of the press conference, which means that Luiz might be the last high-profile arrival at PSG this summer.
