As the hype over the college football season begins to escalate, we start to dream. We all feel like our team has a chance to be better than they really are. Some of us think our favorite player is better than he actually is.

Enter Terrelle Pryor. Let me start by saying. although I am a Wisconsin Badgers fan, I hold no animosity in my heart for the Buckeyes, except for on game day.

Pryor is very talented, and his touchdown in the last two minutes of the game in Madison last year was only one example of his talent. His rushing numbers were very good, and his passing efficiency was great! However, there are too many obstacles to Pryor winning the Heisman Trophy this year.

No. 5 Too Much Inexperience on Offense

I am aware this goes with the NFL Draft, but it is a huge reason. Gone are the team's top two receivers and the running back. Pryor will have to carry too much of the load himself, and teams will zero in on him, whether with a spying linebacker or a whole defensive scheme.

#4 The Big Ten

The Big Ten may be "down", but the teams still know how to play defense. Pryor will never be able to post the numbers of a quarterback in say, the Big 12 or Pac-10, simply because the defense is, arguably better in the Big Ten.

Also, playing in the Big Ten will hurt his credibility. As much as I hate to admit it, the Big Ten is looking pretty anemic. I love the conference, and would pull for OSU over a team from any other conference, however the fact remains that the Big Ten is down.

#3 Playing Style

Remember a guy named Tebow? Of course you do. He is a running quarterback who can also throw. Pryor is not Tebow. Pryor will never throw for over thirty touchdowns in a season and also rush for over twenty. Not this year, not next year, and not the year after that.

His first instinct is to run, and the offense is designed around that.

#4 The NFL Draft

The Buckeyes lost seven players to the draft this year, and while OSU reloads consistently, replacing a running back of Chris "Beanie" Wells' caliber will be very difficult. Not to mention the shoes left to fill by the departure of Brian Hartline and Brian Robiskie on the receiving corps. The offense will be very inexperienced this year.

#5 Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow

The man in this picture is the biggest reason Pryor will not win this year. Reasons two and three are Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy. ...'Nuff said.
